While I don’t think EA is going to be winning any more arbitrary and mostly symbolic “worst company” awards, the narrative has shifted over the course of the past year after a series of high profile missteps by the company and the games it’s produced. EA went from many seeing it as the pure manifestation of corporate greed and incompetence to just another big publisher, and one putting out pretty good games at that. ![]() ![]() Obviously fans had their gripes here and there, but it was a much different conversation. ![]() ![]() The few years that followed brought less controversies and drama and instead a slate of generally great games like Dragon Age: Inquisition, Star Wars Battlefront, Battlefield 1 and Titanfall 2. EA has been a frequent target of fan ire for a while now, but after peaking in 2012-2013, it seemed like the company finally did seem to get the memo, and worked to improve its standing.
